The former Woodhouse-Scott Ranch is being transformed into Pine Canyon, a huge planned development in Douglas County, Colorado.  Pine Canyon is located north of Castle Rock.  According to The Castle Pines Connection Newsletter (2/23/14), the Town of Castle Rock is considering a proposal to annex the 535-acre development. 

Pine Canyon is owned by the JRW Family Limited Partnership.  The owners have conceptualized a mixed-use development.  Planners have created a Zoning Land Use Plan Overview that creates a live/work/play community.  One-third of the acreage would be dedicated to open space, parks, trails, and/or school uses.

The Promenade at Castle Rock is the latest destination shopping area in Douglas County.  The development is located on the north side of Castle Rock between Interstate 25 and Highway 85.  Promenade at Castle Rock is projected to encompass 200 acres, making it the largest master-planned commercial development in Castle Rock - and one of the largest in the United States.  

Construction will be phased in over a few years allowing retailers to open 2015 through 2018...
